Description: 7“x 3“x 1.5” mahogany box with purple velvet lining. Lid has a velvet flap, there is a scissor missing. Bottom has label from the old medical company, TS Pope, Notre Dame Street, Montreal. Contains five checkered gutta percha handled scalples and one tenaculum all marked Hutchinson. Also steel forceps, blowpipe and chain. Also a large needle. There is a floral design as well on the molded handles. On the cloth covered bottom of the box there is written the name P.E. Amiez. A very nice example of a basic kit for dissection.
