Description: 5.25” diameter bowl of pewter with flat handle with cutout design and mnfr name embossed. The inside of the bowl is scratched from use and is scored with lines to indicate volume from 2 to 16 oz. The sides are 1.75” high. There is often confusion between pewter bleeding bowls and porringers. The bleeding bowls can be identified by the series of concentric rings inside the bowl that were used to measure the amount of blood removed.
