Name: Hearing Aid

Description: Solid brass hearing aid, the London type, with bell shaped receiver and the ear tube curved on itself to an ebony ear piece. May have originally been silver or black and polished down for sale, remnants of black finish can be found by ear piece and on bottom. 3” high. Polishing the finish on antique medical instruments is common to create an attractive surface with no flaws. This destroys the historic value of the piece but may enhance its aesthetic appeal.
