Description: 15” long silver plated instrument with horsehair end covered by a silver tip. There is a loop at the opposite end and pulling this extends horsehairs to form a larger circular shape. This was a crude but effective way to remove foreign objects from the esophagus. Now completely replaced by sophisticated endoscopic devices.
