The shield has a mount for a rod which inserts into the 3/8” tube with a bulb at one end and electrical connection at the other. An obturator closes off .5” hole at end. Size on shield is #24, also inscribed ESI Co., Rochester, NY., and Pat Oct. 31, 1899.
