Description: Black oval metal box with name on lid, 5“x 2.25“x 1 7/8” and metal fittings. Contains cuved glass tube 3“x 1/4” tapered to a tip, 4” metal needle, about 18 gauge, smaller needle, glass reservoir 4.25” by 15/16” and a length of 3/8” rubber tubing with one end tipped by a 1/4” tube. This is a very early and very rare example of a device devised for transfusing blood or other liquids intravenously.
