Name: Leech Bowl

Description: Blown glass bowl 5.75” high x 6.5” diameter 4 7/8” diameter lipped top, clear glass. Reported generally as a leech bowl but may have been used as a fish bowl, see ref. It is generally thought that people did not keep fish as pets this early. These bowls are shown in many pharmaceutical catalogues and always listed as leech jars. See page 45 of the reference.
