Description: 13” tall in original walnut case signed E. Zimmermann, Leipzig, Berlin No. 75. The case drawer contains the case key, winding key, and nozzle fitting disk. Cast iron stand with original black enamel and gold outlining, glass cased bladder under stand (Erlanger type) with two levers to direct air flow, platen with working drive and timer, three pens, one to manometer with float to show B.P. This elaborate device demonstrates the complexity that was achieved in monitoring physiologic functions related to blood pressure. Multiple measurements from multiple sources were possible with recording that permitted careful analysis.
