Description: 5.75” multibladed knife. The base is 1.75” and detaches from a steel shank. The whole is covered with a mother of pearl veneer and the base with a Fleur de Lys patten. The end has 24 knives (2 broken) each is about 1.5” in steel representing most of the common varieties of tenacula, lancets and scalpels in common use at that time. Probably a display piece for shop or exhibition. Could also be a salesman’s piece.
