Description: 6.5“x 2.75” x 2” oak box contains a 6” x 1” barrel scope with a 2” base. The scope is brass with one eye piece and 2 objectives, plus box contains a forceps of brass and 2 slides. Scope is focused by moving in a housing, mirror in base aimed with a screw. Lacquered. French? This type of scope would have been used on field trip, by students and by hobbyists.
